Dear SEA Members:

After a full day of polling from 7am to 7pm at Chula Vista Middle School, it is my pleasure to announce the results of the Ratification election.

Accept: 677 (95%)

Not Accept: 36 (5%)

You have overwhelmingly ratified our new contract.

I'd like to thank the over 700 SEA members who came out to vote. We are aware of the challenge having a single polling place for the whole district and will work to make this process easier in the future.

A special thank you to SEA Retired volunteers: Jane McGill, Merrill and Sara Wood, who came out to give the committee a morning break. I would also like to express a debt of gratitude to volunteers Rosie Hogan, Luisa Walker and Marylen Haines for their help in the afternoon. Finally, the two committee members who were with me from dawn to dusk: Lauren McLennan and Martina Gutierrez, who will be taking over the duties of SEA Elections Chair.
